The Atlantic Saunas The Snug 2 Person Indoor Traditional Sauna brings classic Finnish sauna heat into your home in a way that feels simple and familiar. You get dry heat from a 3.5kW stove and 15 kg of lava stones, along with the accessories you’d expect, such as bucket and ladle, sand timer, thermometer and interior light. The whole thing is made from Canadian Hemlock wood, known for staying solid and safe under heat. There’s a digital control panel for easy adjustments, plus an app if you prefer using your phone. Assembly is straightforward, and once it’s in place, it’s ready to become part of your regular routine.

The Snug Sauna includes a 3.5kW stove and 15 kg of thermal lava stones, giving you that classic dry heat people swear by. It arrives in pre-cut sections with a snap-lock frame, so you won’t need any special tools to assemble it. If it’s going upstairs, check that the largest panel (120 x 190 cm) can get through your hallway or doorframes first. Once it’s in place, the screw-in electrical connections are simple enough to follow, but the sauna does need to be hard-wired to its own circuit (that means a dedicated circuit installed by a qualified electrician). 

The Snug Sauna is made from 100% Canadian Hemlock, a strong wood that handles heat well. It doesn’t release smells or chemicals when it gets hot, which is a common issue with cheaper builds. It’s non-toxic, non-allergenic and doesn’t start bending or cracking after a few uses. 

The Atlantic Saunas The Snug 2 Person Indoor Traditional Sauna comes with a sand timer, wooden bucket and ladle, thermometer, interior light, and a digital control panel. There’s also optional app control if you’d rather tweak the settings from your phone. All of it fits into a 120 × 110 cm footprint. 

Is the sauna easy to assemble?
Yes, it usually takes around 45 minutes. The sauna arrives flat-packed in five boxes, and the panels slot together neatly. All the tools you’ll need are included. A clear step-by-step manual comes with it too.

Does the sauna need any ventilation or plumbing?
No plumbing is required. The sauna is self-venting, with a sliding vent to help manage heat. It sits slightly raised on four supports, so airflow underneath keeps the floor protected too.

Is it tricky to put together in a loft or basement?
As long as the panels can fit through the door or hatch, you’re good to go. The flat-packed design is easy to move around, and there’s no need for special flooring, wiring or ventilation. It can be set up in a spare room, garage, loft or basement.

Can this sauna be used outside?
Only if it’s placed in a sheltered space like a summerhouse or garden building. For anything fully exposed to the weather, have a look at the outdoor sauna range.

Is installation available?
We offer free delivery with every sauna, but installation isn’t included, as it needs to be hard-wired by a qualified electrician. Most people put it together themselves, as everything’s included to do the job. If you'd rather have someone do it for you, you’re welcome to arrange a local tradesperson.

How much clearance is needed?
Allow at least 15 cm above the sauna, so the ceiling height should be 205 cm or more.

Can I just plug the sauna into a regular wall socket?
It’s not recommended. The sauna operates close to (or just above) the 13A limit of a standard UK plug, depending on voltage. It must be hard-wired into its own dedicated circuit by a qualified electrician.

Why can’t I use an extension lead?
Because it’s not just about convenience — it’s about safety. The sauna draws high current, and an extension lead might overheat or even cause a fire. Don’t risk it.

This sauna must be hard-wired on its own circuit. The UK voltage range of 216.2V–253.0V gives it an amp range of 11.86–13.88. UK domestic plugs are capped at 13A, so this setup should not be used with an extension lead. If you’re unsure, always consult a qualified electrician.
